Eric Schindler is an accomplished saxophonist, keyboardist, arranger and composer. He has been active in the Boston music scene since 2011, and frequently performs with several bands including the Baker Thomas Band, Krewe de Groove, East Coast Soul, Nephrok! Allstars, and Kong. He has appeared with Harvard's Kuumba Singers and with the Skatalites.
Eric is a music educator, instructing private students as well as teaching at the John Payne Music Center, the Fessenden School, and Lasell College.
Eric received a BA in Jazz Studies from the University of Michigan, School of Music. While at Michigan he played in the Jazz Ensemble, several jazz combos, and the Creative Arts Orchestra, a group that plays entirely improvised music and toured with Great Divide. He is a graduate of Newton (MA) North High School, where he won the prestigious Henry Lasker Award, given to the top musician each year.
Eric has studied with Jerry Bergonzi, Andrew Bishop, John Payne, Duncan Martin, Suzanna Fiore and Harvey Finstein.
